The Rite Aid NAS recovery was paid to the Endo PI Trust. Therefore, your NAS Rite Aid recovery will be received when you are paid in Endo, Allowed Rite Aid NAS Opioid Claims will be paid a simple pro rata share of the distributable proceeds based on the total number of timely Allowed NAS Opioid Claims submitted (the “NAS Payment Amount”). We are still receiving and reviewing NAS Claims, and the deficiency process is ongoing. As such, these estimated award amounts are subject to change, pending the completion of the deficiency process.
Based on the total number of estimated Allowed NAS Opioid Claims, the current gross NAS Payment Amount estimate prior to any admin fees, medical liens if applicable, and attorney’s fees or case expenses (if you have an attorney) is $332.83. All Allowed NAS Opioid Claimants who are deemed to have an Allowed NAS Opioid Claim are entitled to the current gross NAS Payment Amount estimate of $332.83.
As previously stated, the PI Trust is still receiving and reviewing NAS Claims and the deficiency process is ongoing. These estimated award amounts are subject to change. Now that the Trust has determined the initial estimated NAS Payment Amount, Allowed NAS Opioid Claimants must clear the lien resolution process prior to the Trust paying the Allowed NAS Opioid Claimant’s pro rata share. Please note that the government shutdown caused significant delays with the lien resolution process. These delays are outside of the control of both the PI Trust and the Lien Administrator. The Trust is actively working to pay allowed claims who have cleared the lien resolution process. We are hopeful that claims will begin being paid in the 1st quarter of 2026.
Thank you,
